Irving Park). Could it have grown in the opposite direction, with residential space added in the back of a building with an existing commercial storefront?

Here is an image of the building which shows the original (?) two story masonry building and the wooden residential space that was added on top and in back.

http://pics3.city-data.com/businesses/p/9/8/8/2/4889882.JPG

The fact that masonry on the second floor doesn't extend all the way to the back (or what was originally the back) of the building makes me wonder if the entire thing was built at one time.

Thanks for the blog.Aaron Spevacekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12319353000533596147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8483767686214249624.post-77294402659955039962012-04-21T07:54:17.577-05:002012-04-21T07:54:17.577-05:00Thanks for your regular (and attentive) reading of...Thanks for your regular (and attentive) reading of the blog, Jeff.Ultra Local Geographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17891509615219630307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8483767686214249624.post-27832236112638215832012-04-21T06:08:30.792-05:002012-04-21T06:08:30.792-05:001028 Chicago Avenue.
